WHO IS ROSENBERG?

a short story

Brett Rosenberg was born in 1979. He dropped out of school at 20 to move to Boston and become a rock star. 8 years later, Brett left behind a comfortable existence as a guitarist (acts included The Figgs, Peter Gammons, Bebe Buell and Graham Parker) and headed south to Nashville. There, present-day Rosenberg plays a mean guitar alongside such acts as Americana duo The Joiners while producing albums of his own.

Brett has opened for or toured with Little Feat, James Kochalka, Damien Rice, John Doe, Of Montreal, Josh Ritter, The Clientele, Urge Overkill, The Von Bondies, Richard Lloyd, Eli "Paperboy" Reed, and Nikki Sudden.

Rosenberg's quotes appear in The Sound of Our Town by Brett Milano and Marc Woodworth's excellent book about Bee Thousand from the popular 33 1/3 series.  He writes a weekly Dollar Records blog for http://nashvilleforfree.com.

On his latest solo release, Born Twice, Rosenberg delivers material that is catchy, absurd, hilarious, depressing. Brett is currently hard at work on a follow-up with acclaimed producer/engineer Eric McConnell (Loretta Lynn, Todd Snider). Expect new recording, a full-line of Rosenberg merchandise, and many exciting Rosenberg appearances with and without The Joiners in 2010.
